Cultural Expressions Art Gallery will close its doors

January 31, 2016 2:09 AM

Cultural Expressions Art Gallery a fixture in Ajax’s historic Pickering Village since August 2007 will close its doors after nine years.
My landlord has informed me the building will be undergoing extensive renovations and I will need to close the gallery during that time until the renovations are completed. At the moment I do not have a date when the renovations will start but during the renovations I plan to take some much needed rest to recoup, and come up with a new business plan incorporating some new ideas to make the gallery more sustainable. Looking ahead, I anticipate that while the gallery will not have a permanent physical home, it will continue to be in operation online and in pop-up locations. The Gallery's telephone number, email address and web site will remain the same. Stay tuned for the new on line Cultural Expressions Art Gallery website.
